vs Godmode vs Grok Bot

Both give you AI teammates that click through websites and apps to finish real work. Grok Bot does it on a cloud computer you sign into from scratch. Godmode's agent does it on your own machine, already signed in, with Claude Opus 5.5 on every task and a vault that types your 2FA codes for it.

03 Why people switch

Already signed in, everywhere

Grok Bot starts in an empty cloud browser. Godmode imports your Chrome profile, so your CRM, bank, ad accounts and admin panels are open on the first task.

2FA without you on standby

In Grok Bot you take over and type codes yourself. Godmode’s vault fills passwords and authenticator codes into the page, so a 06:00 job at six portals just runs.

No weekly meter

Grok Bot’s allowance resets weekly and the number isn’t published. Godmode adds no cap of its own: your agents run on the Claude plan or API key you choose.

Works in your real apps

Excel, Finder, an old order program, the supplier tool nobody connected to anything: Godmode works in the actual window in the background while you keep working.

Claude, not a mystery model

Godmode thinks with Claude Opus 5.5 on every task, the Claude model known for long, careful work. You always know which AI did the job.

Your logins stay home

Cloud agents keep your logins on the vendor’s computer. With Godmode, your logins, passwords and notes never leave your machine.

04 Where it works

Godmode uses a computer the way you do. It works where your work already is: in your browser, in your programs, on your screen, or on a computer of its own.

Your websites, signed in

Email, online banking, your shop, supplier portals, ad accounts. It uses your own logins, so there is no setup per website.

any website · your logins

Your programs, in the background

Excel, Word, Outlook, your accounting software. It clicks and types into the window while you keep using your mouse.

desktop apps · mouse stays yours

Your whole screen

When a job spans several programs, it works on your screen like a colleague on a screen share. You see every move.

watch live · take over anytime

A computer of its own

On a Mac, give it a separate Mac of its own with one click. It works in there all day and never gets in your way.

06 FAQ

Is Godmode a good Grok Bot alternative?

Yes, if you want an AI coworker that works on your own computer with the logins you already have. Both give you persistent agents with memory that use a browser and apps to finish real work. Grok Bot does it on a cloud computer with a model xAI picks for each task; Godmode's agent works on your device and thinks with Claude Opus 5.5 on every task, with an encrypted vault for passwords and 2FA and no usage cap of its own.

Is Godmode cheaper than Grok Bot?

Godmode is $39 a month, or $29 a month billed yearly, after a 14-day free trial, plus the Claude plan or API key you already have. Grok Bot comes inside Cursor plans (from $20 a month) or SuperGrok (from $30 a month) with a weekly allowance; heavy users report hitting limits even on $200–$300 plans. If you run agents every day, a predictable Godmode subscription plus Claude Max is usually the calmer bill.

Doesn’t Grok Bot use Claude now?

For some tasks. On October 7, 2026 xAI announced that Grok Bot will route each request to the model it judges best, including Claude Opus 5.5, while most simple requests go to a fast Grok 4.8. Godmode runs Claude on every task, on the Claude plan or API key you choose, so you always know which model did the work. The bigger difference is where the work happens: on your own computer with the logins you already have, and a vault that fills passwords and 2FA codes.

Does Godmode use Grok?

No. Godmode runs on Anthropic’s own official Claude software, so your agents think with Claude Opus 5.5 and every newer Claude model as soon as your account has it.

What happens to my logins in Grok Bot compared with Godmode?

Grok Bot can fill passwords from a shared 1Password vault after you approve each fill; for passkeys and 2FA codes you take over its cloud computer and type them yourself. The signed-in session then persists on that shared cloud computer. In Godmode, logins and 2FA secrets sit in an encrypted vault on your device and are typed straight into the page. The model only learns that a secret was filled, never its value.

Can Godmode keep working when my laptop is closed, like Grok Bot?

Not on the laptop itself, because Godmode works on your machine. For 24/7 agents, run the Godmode server on an always-on Mac mini, PC or home server and reach it from the web dashboard, Slack, Telegram or Teams.

Can I move my Grok Bots to Godmode?

Yes. Describe each Bot to Godmode’s main agent in a sentence (its job, the apps it uses, when it should run) and it builds the agent with instructions, memory and a schedule. Import your Chrome profile first and most of those apps are already signed in.

When is Grok Bot the better choice?

If you already pay for Cursor or SuperGrok, want xAI to pick the model for each task, need agents on your phone without any computer at home, or never want to run anything on your own hardware, Grok Bot is a fine pick. Godmode is for people who want the agent where their logins, files and apps already are.
